Every month I get sample requests from brand owners who want "the best period underwear style" — singular. That's usually the first sign they're about to make an expensive mistake. I've run Shenzhen Ljvogues Sports Fashion Limited for 11 years, and the brands that scale past their first reorder never launch with one hero SKU. They launch with a matrix: a light everyday style, a heavy-flow style, and at least one niche style that lets them own a search term nobody else is targeting. Stock the wrong mix — all heavy-absorbency, no everyday option, or vice versa — and you either scare off first-time buyers with overbuilt products or lose repeat customers because your "light" option leaks on day two.
This guide walks through how I'd structure a 2026 period underwear line if I were building a brand from zero, organized the way I organize our own catalogue: by market tier first, fabric and construction second. Buyers pick by customer and price point before they ever ask what the gusset is made of — so that's the order I'll teach it in.
A period underwear manufacturer's guide to sourcing a full product line. 12 styles across 3 market tiers — everyday, heavy-flow, and niche. Fabric, construction, absorbency, and MOQ explained
This is the tier that pays your rent. Everyday styles at 20ml absorbency are what customers buy repeatedly, wear five days a month, and recommend to friends — so comfort and breathability matter more here than raw absorbency capacity.
P10002 — Low Waist Cotton Period Panty. Cotton gusset, 20ml capacity, sizes S–2XL, offered in 6 colors. Cotton is still the right call for a daily-driver SKU because it's the fabric customers already trust against sensitive skin, and trust drives repeat purchase more than any spec sheet.
P10007 — Bamboo Low Waist Menstrual Panty. Bamboo viscose, 20ml, Black and Green, S–2XL. I want to be precise here because a lot of suppliers blur this: our bamboo fabric is produced through the traditional viscose process, not lyocell or a closed-loop system, and it is not GOTS certified. It's a genuinely soft, breathable alternative to cotton — just don't let a supplier tell you "bamboo" automatically means "organic" or "eco-certified." OEKO-TEX certification and GOTS certification are not the same thing, and buyers get burned on this distinction more than almost anything else in this category.
P10008 — Breathable Mesh Period Panty. Mesh, high-elastic construction, 20–150ml range, 6 colors. Mesh earns its slot in a starter line because it solves the single biggest complaint about period underwear: heat retention. Customers in humid climates or anyone wearing it for exercise gravitate here even if cotton is your top seller overall.
My honest advice: stock all three at low quantities before scaling any single one. They serve overlapping but distinct comfort preferences, and you won't know your customer base's preference until you've sold a few hundred units of each.
This is where the actual engineering — and the actual differentiation between suppliers — lives. Anyone can sew a cotton panty. Not every factory can build a 4-layer absorbent system that survives 100 washes without the waterproof layer peeling away from the fabric.
P10001 — Custom Heavy Flow Period Underwear. 4-layer construction, 35–50ml, Black, XS–2XL.
P10009 — High Cut 4-Layer Period Underwear. High-cut silhouette, 4-layer, 35–50ml, Grey/Black.
P10011 — Reusable 4-Layer Period Panty. Front absorbent panel design, 35–50ml, 5 colors.
P10012 — Washable Leakproof Bamboo Brief. Bamboo viscose, washable 4-layer system, 35–50ml, Black.
P10004 — Heavy Flow Period Panty. Print fabric, 20–150ml range.
P10003 — Printed Leakproof Period Underwear. Retail-look print fabrics, 20–150ml, sizes XXS–4XL.
Here's what actually separates a durable heavy-flow product from one that gets returned after three washes: how the waterproof layer is attached.
We bond our TPU film at 18–25 microns using a constant-temperature, constant-pressure heat-bonding machine — not a household-style iron or basic heat press. Structural heat bonding fuses the TPU film into the fabric under controlled temperature and even pressure across the whole panel. Surface iron pressing just melts the film onto the top layer without that fusion, and it shows fast in the wash: in our internal factory testing, iron-pressed TPU layers started delaminating — peeling, bubbling, losing waterproof integrity — anywhere from wash 3 to wash 8. Our heat-bonded construction held up through 100 wash cycles with no delamination in the same internal test. I want to be straight about that number: it's an internal factory test, not a third-party certified result, and I'd push any supplier for the same kind of wash-durability data before committing to a heavy-flow order.
The 4-layer stack also matters for fit: moisture-wicking top layer, absorbent core, the TPU barrier, and an outer layer that holds shape wash after wash. We finish seams with 4-needle 6-thread flatlock stitching and heat-bonded (not sewn) lace edges, avoiding the friction points that cause chafing on heavy-flow days when a customer wears the product 8–12 hours straight.
The print styles in this group — P10003 and P10004 — exist because heavy-flow buyers still want period underwear that looks like retail lingerie, not a medical product. If your brand competes on shelf appeal against mainstream lingerie brands, these SKUs let you do that without sacrificing the 4-layer protection underneath.
This is the tier most new brands skip, and it's the tier that actually lets you win a defensible search term instead of competing head-on with 500 other private-label sellers on generic "period underwear" listings.
P10005 — High Waist Postpartum Period Underwear. High-waist support design, Beige, 20–150ml range. Postpartum customers need waistband support that sits above a C-section incision line and absorbency that can flex from light spotting to heavy lochia discharge in the same product — that's why this style spans the full 20–150ml range rather than locking into one tier.
P10006 — Leakproof Period Swim Brief. Swim-ready construction, high-waist, Black, 20–30ml. Swimwear is its own engineering problem, and the specs don't overlap with regular period underwear at all. Our swim brief uses a dual-layer TPU system combined with genuine swim fabric, chlorine-resistant spandex, and a hydrostatic pressure rating of 10,000mm H2O — a swimwear-specific measurement that doesn't apply to any non-swim style. Absorbency sits lower, at 20–30ml, because swim styles are built for light-to-moderate flow during time-limited water activity, not all-day wear.
P10010 — Girls Period Boyshort. Teen and girl sizing, boyshort cut, Black, Teen/S–XL, 20ml. First-period products need a different design language than adult heavy-flow styles: no lace trim (skin sensitivity and simplicity matter more than aesthetics for a nervous 11-year-old), sizing that starts at a 55cm waist for the smallest size, and absorbency options at 15ml or 30ml depending on flow stage. Brands that enter this category early — school health programs, teen-focused DTC brands — tend to build customer relationships that carry into adult product lines as those customers age up.
These three niches won't move the volume Group 1 does, but they're where a brand differentiates. Postpartum, swim, and teen buyers are underserved by the big generic period-underwear catalogues, and they're more forgiving on price because they're solving a specific problem, not comparison-shopping a commodity.

I put all 12 styles, with absorbency and sizing marked per style, into our July 2026 new-arrivals catalogue. If you're planning your product line this year, treat it as a sourcing checklist — mark off which tiers you already cover and which ones you're leaving on the table.
A quick, honest note before you source any of this: when a factory hands you a complete catalogue with absorbency and sizing properly specified per style — not vague marketing copy, but actual ml ratings and cm measurements — that's worth noting during supplier vetting. It usually means the factory tracks its own construction specs internally, which correlates with consistent quality control on your bulk orders. It's a small signal, but in 11 years I've found it a reliable one.
On our end, every style in this line is built in our 8,000m² factory in Longgang District, Shenzhen, across 14 sewing lines with 200+ employees and 12 in-house R&D engineers. We hold OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class I certification (Certificate No. 26.HCN.12213, tested by Hohenstein Laboratories in Germany, valid through July 31, 2027) — Class I is the strictest tier, the same one used for baby articles. We're also certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BSCI, SEDEX SMETA 4-Pillar, FDA 21 CFR Part 807, EU REACH, GRS, and CPSIA, and every production batch since Q2 2024 has passed PFAS-free SGS finished-garment testing against the EPA 533 method. Every unit goes through 3-stage QC at AQL 2.5.
MOQ across our catalogue is 50 pieces per color per size, and prototype samples ship in 7 days, so testing 2–3 styles from different tiers doesn't require a container-sized commitment.
If you want the full 12-style catalogue with per-style absorbency, sizing, and fabric specs, download it and use it as your sourcing checklist for building out your 2026 line.
