Product Description
Model FG23A is the only SKU in the Ljvogues catalog engineered specifically for the 4-6 week postpartum recovery window — not a relabeled period panty. The adjustable hook-and-eye closure (4×3, nickel-free) replaces the fixed elastic band of standard period underwear, allowing the garment to expand and contract as a new mother's body changes week by week during lochia recovery.
For C-section recovery (roughly 1 in 3 deliveries), the closure can be positioned away from the incision line — a function that a fixed elastic waistband structurally cannot provide. For vaginal delivery recovery, the adjustable fit accommodates day-to-day abdominal swelling and uterine involution.
The 4-layer construction is sized for postpartum lochia volume — heavier and more unpredictable than standard menstrual flow. Lochia can spike due to movement, breastfeeding (which triggers uterine contractions), and standing. The heavy-absorbency core avoids requiring changes every hour during the first 1-2 weeks. As lochia tapers to lighter pink/brown stages in weeks 3-6, the same product continues to perform — one SKU for the entire recovery window.
After recovery, the same pair transitions to standard menstrual use, extending product lifecycle. Available in 3 absorbency options (10ml/25ml/45ml) for different flow stages. OEM with custom closure hardware, absorbency tuning, and hospital bag packaging.

FAQ
When should a mother start wearing this?
Vaginal delivery: immediately after birth once hospital staff confirm bleeding is stable. C-section: same product, positioned low with closure away from incision until wound healing progresses. Same SKU adapts to either delivery type.
How many pairs are needed for 4-6 weeks?
Heaviest in weeks 1-2 — rotate several pairs per day. Weeks 3-6: 1-2 changes per day. Retailers commonly bundle 5-7 pairs as "one week of recovery" packs.
Can this be packed in a hospital bag before delivery?
Yes — adjustable closure makes it appropriate to pack before delivery type is known. No need to pre-size standard period underwear. Ljvogues supports hospital bag bundle packaging with nursing/recovery items.
How does this differ from standard period underwear?
Fixed elastic waistband (standard) cannot: (1) adjust to changing postpartum body size, (2) position away from C-section incision. Standard period gusset is sized for menstrual flow, not lochia volume. FG23A solves both — purpose-built for postpartum, not relabeled.
What happens after lochia recovery ends?
Same pair transitions to standard menstrual underwear — extends product lifecycle for the end customer.
